1. Gelderland rose
The guelder rose is officially called Viburnum Opulus and is a beautiful shrub, growing up to 4 meters tall. This plant is good for wet environments, of the guelder rose likes a moist soil. The shrub blooms in May and June and also has red fruits, which, however, can be poisonitg for birds, for example.
2. Sessile oak
The official name of this tree is Quercus Petraea and this beautiful tree can grow up to 30 meters tall. The branches are slightly bent downward and in June and July the winter lime tree develops yellowish white flowers with a lovely sweet fragrance. These flowers are also called linden blossom, you can pick it, dry it and use it as a remedy for all kinds of ailments.
The tree also produces fruits in the form of nuts, however, these are mainly for ornamental purposes.
3. Wild rowanberry
The wild rowan tree is officially called Sorbus Aucuparia and is a somewhat smaller tree that can grow about 15 meters tall. This tree is often planted on streets and in parks because of its strong character.
The tree blooms in May and June with beautiful white flowers and produces orange to red fruits that can be made into jam, liqueur and even wine.
4. Two-stemmed hawthorn
Crataegus Laevigata is a beautiful shrub that grows in light forests naturally. The shrub can grow about 6 feet tall and blooms in May. This is when lovely smelling white flowers appear.
This tree has dark red fruits that birds consider a delicious dinner. The shrub is ideal for use as a nice dense hedge.
5. Rattle poplar
The ratchet poplar is officially known as Populus Tremula and is a tree that grows well almost anywhere. This tree can also grow very tall: up to 30 meters. This tree produces so-called catkins in March and April; these can be 10 centimeters long and look lovely.
The tree has excellent resistance to wind and frost, so you can be sure to enjoy this tree for a long time.
