3. Dieffenbachia
The large leaves of the Dieffenbachia make this plant very popular for indoors. This plant belongs to the arumaceae, which grows mainly in tropical regions on Earth. Therefore, even this plant can survive perfectly in the dark, because even in jungles the plant grows close to the ground, so it survives well in the shade of other trees.

4. Calathea
The calathea par excellence cannot stand direct sunlight and therefore does very well in a dark place. This plant grows in the Amazon rainforests, among others, where it also lives in the shade of larger plants. The plant has beautiful leaves full of color; from light green to very dark green.

5. Sansevieria
The sansevieria is also called lady’s tongue and this is one of the most hardy and resilient plants, that exist. This plant needs almost nothing to survive; a spot in the shade and little water never undercut the endurance of this beautiful tropical green addition. A topper for the office.

A plant that is very popular in Belgium and the Netherlands concerns the hole plant. The leaves of this plant look like hole cheese, giving any interior an instant refreshing boost with this special plant.
The hole plant originally grows in South America, where it can grow meters tall. Indoors, the plant does not grow as tall, but can withstand dark environments just fine.

7. Spoonplant
Finally, the spoon plant: a plant that can literally take a beating. This plant has beautiful dark green leaves with white pennants and provides a chic accent anywhere.
