The Standard Hotel Brussels

The Standard in Brussels is not your average hotel. The interior is bold, layered and expressive – a play of contrasts and sculptural forms, combined with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Between rich wood tones, soft fabrics and clean architectural lines, we brought in greenery as a natural counterpart. Not a uniform infill, but a carefully curated mix of plants. From airy palms to full, lush foliage plants – each plant was chosen to perfectly match the interior without drawing attention to itself.

Planters also play an important role in the overall look. Organic shapes in soft earth tones are interspersed with more pronounced pieces, creating a subtle rhythm throughout the space.

By working with different heights, textures and shades of greenery, we created more depth and experience. The greenery flows into the architecture and feels like a natural part of the space, rather than a separate element.

The result is an entrance that makes an immediate impression. Warm and inviting, but at the same time powerful and full of character. A place where design and nature reinforce each other – and where the atmosphere is right from the first step.
